I’m incredibly selfish and it’s why…

I do this as often as possible.

Spend time mentoring.

And IT IS selfish.

Sure I help someone else
But the way it makes me feel
Like I matter in someone’s life.

It feels significant.

So I did it again just last week.
I met with a super smart computer science student.
But at a small liberal arts college in northern VT.

Which means…
→ No recruitment
→ Hard to make connections
→ Hard to know how to stand out

We had a fantastic conversation.

I was able to help him learn:
→ Who in the industry is hiring
→ How to stand out from his peers
→ What he needs to do to get hired

I was able to make introductions to hiring managers too.

It was 90 minutes out of my day.

But it gives me an enormous sense of fulfillment.
↳ To help the next generation find their path.

My question to you…

What “selfish” thing do you do that helps others?
